We just toured Esplanade at Red Rock by Taylor Morrison: resort-style living in Summerlin, out by Red Rock. In my opinion, this is by far Taylor Morrison's best product in the entire city.
At a glance
From $624,990 for the villas, up to $1,624,990 for the Sinatra • 12 single-story floor plans • 4 collections: Villas, Classics, Premiers and Estates
Location: La Madre Peaks village in Summerlin, off West Lake Mead Boulevard near Red Rock Canyon.
Builder: Taylor Morrison, under its Esplanade resort-lifestyle brand.
Who can buy: All ages. Esplanade at Red Rock is not a 55+ community.
Snow Thoughts: Taylor Morrison's best in the city
First, the finishes. They're giving you upgraded, high-quality finishes.
Second, the floor plans. The floor plans are immaculate. I love the floor plans they have on display.
Third, the choices. You've got several homes to choose from. There are villas, which are duplexes, and Villas is the new high-end luxury name Taylor Morrison is using. Then you have single-family homes all the way up to about $1.6 million at the very top.
Resort-style living: Esplanade at Red Rock vs. Trilogy Sunstone
Trilogy Sunstone has the most dynamic resort-style living I've seen in the entire city. Taylor Morrison is here to match that with a high-end restaurant, a resort-style pool, pickleball courts and a spa. And that spa is one thing Trilogy Sunstone is not giving you.
• Esplanade at Red Rock: planned amenities include The Club with a restaurant and bar, a resort-style pool, pickleball and bocce courts, a fitness center and a spa therapy suite. Open to all ages.
• Trilogy Sunstone: Shea Homes' 55+ community in northwest Las Vegas. Its Cabochon Club has a resort-style pool, a fitness center, a culinary studio, a coffeehouse, pickleball and bocce courts, plus a restaurant and bar. Shea's site doesn't list a spa.
