I went out with a couple of my friends on a Friday night, and our first stop was the bar right in the middle of Fontainebleau Las Vegas: Bleau Bar. We had a good time.

Snow Thoughts: top-notch everything

First, the Paloma. A really good Paloma. These drinks were made excellent.

Second, the shots. I had some shots there too, and they were done very well.

Third, the people behind the bar. Here's the difference between going to bars in Vegas and going to bars anywhere outside of Vegas: we have top-notch hospitality, top-notch bartenders and top-notch drink specialists.

The design: Luxurious. Everything about Fontainebleau gives you that high-end experience and a top-notch clientele. You feel it everywhere, even with the valet service.

More to come: I'll be back for more drinks, and I'll update this post as I try them.

The details

• Where: right in the middle of the casino floor at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, 2777 S. Las Vegas Blvd., on the north end of the Strip

• Look up: the bar sits under a grand chandelier made of thousands of crystal bowties

• Hours: open 24 hours a day, with lounge service from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.

• My order: the Paloma, one of the classics on the menu: tequila, lime, grapefruit, grapefruit soda and a little salt

My night out at Fontainebleau

Stop 1: Bleau Bar for drinks, right in the middle of the casino (you're reading it)

Stop 2: Komodo for dinner and that Chilean sea bass

Stop 3: Nowhere Lounge for live performances and an old-school vibe
