Southern Highlands Golf Club · Southern Highlands. A private club designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr., for residents and members.
Olympia Sports Park · Starr Hills Ave. Lighted fields, courts, a hilltop trail and a splash pad (closed October to April).
Exploration Peak Park · Mountain's Edge. About 80 acres, with a trail to a 2,846-foot summit and an Old West playground.
Outdoors
Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area · Southeast of Southern Highlands. 48,438 acres and more than 300 rock-art panels at the petroglyph site. Call BLM before you go: there is construction.
Red Rock Canyon · About 25 minutes west. The valley's signature scenic drive and trails.
Spring Mountains · West of the valley. Cooler trails and fall color at higher elevation.
Entertainment & Shopping
South Point Bowling Center · South Point. 64 lanes plus a 60-lane tournament plaza.
South Point Arena & Equestrian Center · South Point. Rodeo and horse shows year-round.
Las Vegas South Premium Outlets · S. Las Vegas Blvd. More than 140 stores, open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
