Eureka! Henderson Review: Decent Everyday Food, Skip the Mimosas | Snow Thoughts

I just got done eating at Eureka! on St. Rose Parkway in Henderson. Here's my honest take.

Snow Thoughts: decent everyday food, not elevated

The mimosas. Not great quality at all. It tastes like watered-down alcohol and juice.

Sodas and mocktails. Nothing was delicious.

The nachos. Terrible, if you came for elevated. As everyday nachos, they're decent.

The truffle fries. Better than some other truffle fries I've tasted from other places.

The salt. It's all salted, and the salt is usually what you taste most. Everything else is crispy.

Who it's for. This is not your place to expect elevated taste buds. If you expect elevated cuisine, this is not where you want to be at all. This is for your average, everyday goers.

Bottom line: for average, everyday food, it's decent. Decent nachos, decent fries, decent green beans and decent salmon. The taste here isn't supposed to take you higher, and that's exactly what it tastes like.

• Where: 3354 St. Rose Parkway, Henderson, NV 89052

• What: an all-American scratch kitchen with local craft beer on tap and more than 40 small-batch whiskeys

• Hours: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Hoppy Hour runs daily from 3 to 6 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to close.

• Weekend special: $8.50 Bloody Marys and mimosas, per Eureka!
